In 2008 Andrew Hall directed Edward Albee’s ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?’ starring Matthew Kelly as George and Tracey Childs as Martha at The Lichfield Garrick.
When the production was offered a run at The Trafalgar Studios the following Spring, Andrew and Tracey joined forces to produce the transfer themselves. The show received rave reviews and enjoyed a sell-out season.
Andrew and Tracey discovered they enjoyed producing together and made a great team. So, a new partnership came into being.
They produced ‘Haunting Julia’ at Riverside Studios in the Summer of 2011 before embarking on a nationwide tour of a new production with Duncan Preston, Joe McFadden and Richard O’Callaghan in the Autumn of 2012.
In October 2013 their production of ‘Kindertransport’ by Diane Samuels will open at The Belgrade Theatre, Coventry prior to a tour. Starring Paula Wilcox and Janet Dibley the show will be directed by Andrew Hall. Info at www.kindertransport.co.uk
Tracey Childs is supported by the Stage One Bursary Scheme. Stage One also generously supported the Haunting Julia Tour through both their Start-Up and Theatre Investment Funds. Andrew and Tracey are delighted that the show was a success and she was able to pay them back in full.
Tracey has recently joined the Board of Colchester Mercury Theatre.
